Jim Simmons

Jim Simmons studied photography and experimental animation at California Institute of the Arts and fiction screenwriting at Stanford University. After working as a newspaper photographer and graphic designer, Jim spent 20 years as a producer and designer in the video game industry. His short films and interactive videos have been shown at film festivals around the world. Since arriving in New Zealand in 2005, Jim has exhibited at PhotoSpace Gallery in Wellington and has provided architectural photography services for architects and authors working to preserve New Zealand’s architectural history. He lives outside of Masterton at the confluence of the Ruamahanga and Kopuaranga rivers.
