Diana has been involved in Wairarapa art groups and clubs since she retired from a nursing career and took up art as a hobby.

So its no surprise that she threw herself into ConArt as a founding member and went straight on to the steering group. Diana co-ordinates our team of volunteers who work in the Gallery. Like all members of the steering group, she is dedicated to running ConArt as a professional and inspiring place for the general public and visitors to enjoy.

Diana is passionate about showcasing great art and supporting talented, upcoming artists. Not to mention, Diana is very well networked in the Wairarapa. If we want to get the message out about something, Diana is the one to do it.

Diana is a member of several groups and is proudly one of the founding members of Wai Art.

"I have been involved in Wairarapa art groups and clubs since I retired from my nursing career, and I took up art as a hobby.

"My style of art is painting mainly in oils using subtle or vibrant colour, and impressionistic and post-impressionistic work, influenced by Monet and Renoir. Latterly, I've been interested in modern day artists such as the intense colour impressionist artist Daniel Wall, and New Zealand artists Richard Robinson and Jane Evans.

"Several family members and friends have samples of my artwork. I am delighted and grateful that they continue to support me, as I am not necessarily commercially-minded!"
